Job Vacancy Financial Controller (Mid-Level)

ZAYA is seeking a qualified and experienced Financial Controller to support and manage the finance function across the group, with a strong focus on real estate development and construction operations. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, and compliance across ongoing and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports
• Monitor project budgets, construction costs, cash flow, and variance analysis
• Support cost control, contractor payments, and project financial performance tracking
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and finance documentation
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, tax requirements, and VAT filings
• Maintain internal controls, finance policies, and approval processes
• Coordinate external audits and statutory reporting requirements
• Provide financial insights to support project teams and senior management decision-making
• Coordinate with procurement, commercial, and project departments for financial planning
• Supervise junior finance staff and ensure accuracy in accounting entries and reconciliations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (ACCA/CPA preferred)
• 58 years of finance experience, including a controlling role
• Mandatory experience in Real Estate and Construction sector
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost reporting, and construction finance controls
• Experience in VAT filing, audit coordination, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (Oracle preferred) and strong Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and stakeholder coordination ability
